I have been searching for a good spider for a while and as it so happens my moms garden finally had one this year and she was HUGE. I am really quite afraid of spiders but I also find them fascinating! As I am processing today I had to show this lovely lady off. I think she will compliment the Pray mantis very well.

New Personal Work - York Region Photographer
Well the winter break is in full swing and it's New Years! The winter break is always a time when things slow down a bit and new creativity floods back in. I love the New Year because it is full of unknowns and possibilities which I find exciting. I always reflect on the past year and conspire what I can do to better business and personal life for the better.
So I hope you are looking forward to the New Year as much as I am. I know things may look a little bleak and on the rocks right now but hang tough new beginnings are a change from the same old same old and new challenges are on the horizon.
Here is some new work I have finally had the time to finish. As always these are always for purchase and can be found in their own private gallery with the password 'limited' (small caps only). Some details are always lost with web quality images and are especially true for these types of images as I can't display them large like they should be. The clarity simply isn’t seen here but if you like what you see but would like to see a print first hand I do have them here. The difference is out of this world!

These bottom 3 images were taken of the neatest flower I think I have ever seen. Brian Morris generously donated his last Passion Flower of the season to my artful causes (thank you so much Brian). This was the result. No folks there is no Photoshop here! Stunning colour. The last image is a secret but is from the same flower shoot. :)

Hillary House - Aurora Portrait Photographer
It sure was cold yesterday wasn't it? But it was warm inside the Hillary House. It was a quite day yesterday but in my quite spare time I got some still life work done around the house.

Interesting Imprint
So my husband opened the window blind tonight and as we where talking I was memorized by what I saw behind his head. Of coarse he is looking at me like WHAT (isn't that the worst thing when someone does that, LOL)! Well our window is distinctly marked with this image that looks like a bird. There are feather leavings on the lawn right under the window but isn't that crazy that it left this behind on the window.

New Children's School Portraits - Richmond Hill Child and Family Photographer
So I have recently received permission to use some photos of the children photographed at the daycare. Which in turn means examples for you of just what I am talking about!
I am so excited because I have wanted to do something like this for some time. Forgive me about being blunt but the old standard way of school portraits is so out for me they are dry and could be so much more! We all know how full of life children are and it would be nice to see that reflected in their portraits. So here are examples of just what can be created in either a free flowing environment or even in a traditional studio set up and hey if you like what you see tell your local daycare or school and lets start to change these portraits!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone I hope the turkey was fantastic. For me there is nothing like a fresh turkey and my mom’s good old stuffing. The smells and flavor really ring in the holiday season don't they? On top of visiting family this long weekend I was busy making images that I have been longing to make for some time. Here is a couple now more to come later, I have to run and make an apple pie for my inlaws. :)

I have restructured the print pricing a bit and now ALL large wall prints are fine art archival quality which I am very excited about. Call me a geek but nothing beats prints on fine art paper and Glicee inks they will blow you away just you wait and see!
Now if you have yet to book what are you waiting for???? I know I know the economy is on everyone’s mind however it doesn’t mean we still can't capture incredible memories together. Stay tuned for some new images I can't wait to show them.

Beautiful Baby Boy
This was from a session I did a little while ago and I absolutely LOVE how they came out. Here are 2 from the session but there is also a tri series on my home introduction page and the 3 images in the Kids gallery. This was the first time this little boy had seen bubbles and the experience of being able to photograph someone’s first experience was absolutely incredible and I felt honored to be apart of that.

Random Babble
Okay so increasingly I am told that my portrait in the paper is not suiting of me at all, LOLOLOLOL. I know I look serious and some have even said a bit b$#%&y, that's okay I can fully laugh at myself, LOL. I call her my alter ego and to be honest I really do not photograph well when I smile. Hey man try taking a self portrait it's a tough thing to do, LOL.
But anyways I have made a promise to change it. My good friend David will be helping me out with it so hopefully he can do a better job, lol. Stay tuned for that update.
Also the Right To Dry T-Shirts will be happening soon contact me and let me know if you are interested in one. Part of the proceeds will be going to the Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust which I think is a huge deal to protect. I actually read in the paper yesterday that Newmarket's sliver may be sold to a builder!!!!!!!! Tisk tisk this should not even be an option that is entertained at all! Let’s keep our green space green for heaven sake!
Okay off my soap box now here is a Pray mantis I had the privilege f photographing over Labor Day weekend. I love these bugs!
