J turns the big 1!!! - York Regions Children's Photographer

This was just one of those appointments where all factors come together and you walk away with magic! The windows were beautiful and funny enough everything I was hoping for. This was "J's" photo shoot for her first birthday just before Christmas and she was SO CUTE!

I had the privilege of Photographer her big brother for his first year images and it was the same scenario I came away with images that still hold a favourite place in my heart. He is the little boy who is gazing up at the bubbles on our Home page. It was his first time seeing bubbles and I think that is what does it for me (likewise with the cake image, not seen on our site). Those experiences in a child’s life are so amazing and being able to photograph them was out of this world.

I am so deeply in love with this balloon image I would put this on a huge canvas, LOL.

Ahhh Self Portraits - Toronto family Photographers

So I had to do it.  I have had a few offers from other friends/fellow photogs lately so I felt it must be a sign to do some.  It's been about 2 years since I did my last self portraits so I decided today was as good as any other.  I may as well get them done.  One catch though I did them myself lol.  I wanted to practice some new lighting and was hoping to do it with out a boom arm.  I think these came out okay but I still need the boom arm, LOL.

Changes Coming! - York Region Portrait Photographers

Alright 2011 is coming together very well!  We have updated our pricing and packages along with our shopping cart.  So for those who like the shopping cart it is now fully up to date once again, yay!

We will also have some new changes coming.  For instance a new blog look!  Yes finally going to go with Word Press.  Like wise for our Real Estate and Business photography division.  I am also thinking about adding a site for print sales.  Art prints will start at a very cost effective rate of $25.00 each and will be included on a site of their own.  We are looking at focusing on Children's, Newborn, Family, Maternity and Real Estate Photography this year and I am really really excited about it!

We look forward to keeping you informed this year as always and we do encourage to add us as friends on Facebook!  We do not spam it is definitely a friends environment where we tell you about cool deals we have found, interesting things through out the day and perhaps a once in a while redirect to our blog if we are excited about a deal or an image we have created.

Here is 2011 and making some awesome images once again!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! - York region Photographers

Happy New Year everyone it has been an amazing one hasn't it!  2010 brought us LOTS of change and we could not be happier.  Business grew once again and we would like to thank everyone for your business in helping that growth!  We are really looking forward to stepping it up even further in 2011 and are excited to see what it will all bring!

So how about you have you made any resolutions or things you are looking forward too?  I personally LOVE this time of year purely for all the possibility that can and will happen.  We have some cool projects coming up including one with horses.  I have always wanted to do a session with a family and their horses and it looks like that will happen... Can't WAIT!

So here is too a great 2011.  We hope we will see everyone again and make tons of new friends as well!

The All Natural Egg - Photographers in York Region, Ont

I have wanted to create this image for a long time now and I am so happy it is finally out of my head.

I am really really into simple minimalistic art. I love clean edges and good light. This is going directly to canvas and onto the wall of my kitchen in 16 x 20. Oooo so excited!

Oh to Remember the Summer - Newmarket/Aurora Photographers

I had almost forgotten about this image because I just did not have the time to dedicate to it until this week during my time off. This is of my oldest daughter on a stunning piece of property just off hwy 9. I have another portrait I want to create there but I need to find wardrobe for it and that won’t come until the summer.

This has been a really busy year with the move which moved right into a big renovation, so indulging in my own photography has just not happened but this New Year should bring a TON of new creativity (especially considering all of the movies I have taken in lately!). I have images in my head that need to be made because they are sitting there screaming to come out. If I do not create them I get hung up on them and do not move past the ideas, kind of like been constipated, LOL.

This year has brought a ton of change, growth and happiness I am actually really excited to see what will happen this coming year! How about you?

This lady is just outside of our basement door.  I wonder if she will be back next year.  I waited and waited for a week for her to be back on top of her web but she seemed to prefer to stay underneath (better view I suppose).

I have to Share! - York region photographers

Okay so I have to share this little secret with you. I feel like I always have a ton in common with my clients so try this on for size. There is a winery run by a family in Stouffville on McCowan Rd. It is called Applewood Farm Winery.

They grow their own fruit and on top of selling fresh fruit and vegetables they make their own wines. If you do anything go and try this place out!!!!!

I HIGHLY recommend the Red Trio. Absolutely fantastic and I am not a red wine drinker by any means. It has cranberry undertones and is great with turkey. Go get some now! As far as white, try the Macintosh although you will be offered samples so try them on for size. Support a local family and venture away from the LCBO. I promise you will be thankful you did.

Here is their website - http://www.applewoodfarmwinery.com/.

This is their last couple of days open until the spring but don’t forget go try this out!

(I'll post again in the spring LMAO).
