My Session with Lynda

You may or may not recall but Lynda was the winner of my portrait session being given away at the Aurora Home Show in the spring. Well a couple of days ago we were finally able to get together and make that happen. Here is some of what I got from the session with Lynda.

This is the image that will be seen on the next addition of SNAP Aurora

New Series!

Recently I was able to take a week off for a much needed vacation and I was able to indulge in my own work. I was able to capture the building of a traditional Teepee which I am now going to make into an art book. These are a couple of the images that are part of that series.

Popularized in the US, "Trash the Dress" is growing in popularity all over. What does this mean you ask? It means get that beautiful wedding dress out once more for a CRAZY photo shoot! Let go have fun, get dirty and make some beautiful keep sake images to remember forever. What else are you going to do with that gorgeous gown?????? I know morbid, but true isn't it?! So lets go out and have fun the weather is warm and beautiful for it.

The first 2 people to contact me and book....... *THE SESSION FEE IS ON ME! Prints will be sold separately but there are no restrictions of minimum amounts to purchase. Contact me for more information!

T-Shirts will be for Sale!

That's right I will be selling T-Shirts with the Right To Dry image on the front. Part of the proceeds will be going to The Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust because we MUST preserve that crucial part of our environment! The other part will be going to The David Suzuki Foundation. We all know what great lengths David goes to in the crusade to better our planet and I think his foundation would be a great organization to benefit from your generous donations.

Want to get involved??? Presently I am looking for sponsors to help in this fundraiser. If your company is interested please feel free to contact me. All sponsors company logos will be displayed on the back of all T-Shirts sold.

Stay tuned for pre orders of the T-Shirts!

Catch up Time!

LOLOLOLOL I know it's been a while and I need to update this more often. This month has been very busy and seems to be picking up even more steam! I'll add some of the tid bits from my newsletter in this posting and update from there.

The Right To Dry Campaign!

That's right I have had the honor to team up with Aurora Mayor Phyllis Morris in The Right To Dry Campaign! Some of you may know Mayor Phyllis Morris as she has made head way through local, national, and international press on her fight in changing Ontario legislation. For several years suburban families have not had the option to dry their clothes on clothing lines which has left us to rely on gas and electric dryers which use large amounts of electricity. Now, because of Phyllis's efforts we have the "Right To Dry" our clothes on a clothing line if we so choose. This will also go to lowering our environmental emissions and helps save money!

I am a huge advocate for anything to do with saving our environment so this is something I feel honored to be apart of in every way. Phyllis mentioned to me that she needed a photo to represent the campaign after the first had been stolen and used to profit from. So I took it upon myself to create an image that Phyllis would hopefully be proud to use in her campaign. To my luck she chose the image above and I could not be more thrilled to be apart of this campaign!

Busy busy busy

I feel like I am falling behind in my blog postings, lol. I know I should be keeping them up more however time gets by so fast lately. The saying "time flies when you’re having fun", could never be more true! So I promise to do better at adding more info.

Congratulations to AnnMarie Neeb for winning the successful bid at the Relay for Life bbq! I look forward to working with you and your family.
Welcome May

With big loving arms May is welcome! The weather has changed and we have had some really beautiful days
which is such a wonderful reminder of the warmth ahead of us! In this issue I again have some great additions to
services I will be offering.

My goal is to bring a fantastic experience with me not only in my final work but the experience
in it's entirety. I like to think of your time with me like a boutique experience, everything I do is
hands on so you always deal with myself directly.
I'm not sure about you but when I shop I really appreciate one on one service with someone who really cares.
Those experiences always leave me feeling better about my investment no matter what the investment may be.

Meet Isabel!

My name is Isabel and I'm really excited about this
opportunity to work with SSV Photography and it's clients! I started doing make up about 12 years ago while
studying theatre at the University of Toronto. I quickly discovered that my passion lies with playing with
colours to create something unexpected but beautiful. Since then, I've been honoured to have been a part of
many weddings, fashions shows, movie sets and special events. And I can't wait to work with Sarah in creating
new memories for her clients.
